Return & Exchange Policy – The African Hand

At The African Hand, we take great care in delivering authentic, handcrafted African sculptures. Due to the cultural and fragile nature of our products, we have a limited return policy. Please review the details below before making a purchase.

1. Eligibility for Returns & Exchanges

We accept returns or exchanges only under the following conditions:

- The item arrives damaged or broken (must report within 48 hours of delivery).

- The wrong item was shipped (must report within 7 days of delivery).

Note: We do not accept returns for buyer’s remorse, sizing issues (if applicable), or minor imperfections that are part of the handmade nature of the product.

2. How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

1. Contact us within the specified time frame at support@theafricanhand.com with:  

- Your order number

- Photos/video of the damaged or incorrect item

- A brief explanation of the issue

2. Our team will review your request and provide further instructions.  
3. If approved, we will arrange for a return label (if applicable) or guide you through the exchange process.  

3. Return Shipping Costs

- If the return is due to our error (wrong item or damage), we will cover return shipping costs.

- If the return is for any other reason, the customer is responsible for return shipping fees.

4. Refunds & Exchanges

- Refunds: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method.

- Exchanges: If you’d like a replacement, we will ship the correct item as soon as possible (subject to availability).

5. Non-Returnable Items

For cultural and quality control reasons, the following cannot be returned:

- Custom or commissioned sculptures

- Items marked "Final Sale"

- Products damaged due to mishandling after delivery

6. International Returns

- Customers outside our primary shipping regions may incur additional return shipping and customs fees.

- Refunds will exclude original shipping costs unless the return is due to our error.

7. Damaged or Lost in Transit

If your order arrives damaged or is lost during shipping, contact us immediately. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue and provide a replacement or refund.
